Bare Bones Dance Theater was founded in 1987 by a group of students to provide undergraduates the opportunity to display their choreographic work in a professional setting as there was no such platform for undergraduates at that time. Through the years, BBDT has become a distinguished non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, attracting wider audiences and reaching farther communities. Today, BBDT's annual concert is open to all undergraduates of every major, allowing the greater UC Irvine community the opportunity to be involved in and exposed to the performing arts.
